How do I know if I should see a Counsellor?
You might consider seeing a counsellor if you're experiencing difficulties or challenges that are impacting your daily life, relationships, or overall well-being. Here are some signs that it might be a good idea to seek counselling:

-
Persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness
-
Anxiety or excessive worry
-
Struggling with relationships
-
Traumatic experiences
-
Major life transitions
-
Lack of enjoyment within your life

It's important to remember that seeking counselling doesn't mean you're weak or that you can't handle your problems on your own. It's a sign of strength to recognise when you need help and to take steps to improve your mental health and well-being.
Please be advised that Insightful Counselling is not a crisis service, and therefore if you or someone you know is in a crisis, please dial 000 or call LifeLine 13 11 14.
Are the sessions confidential?
Yes, all discussions and information shared during counselling sessions are strictly confidential. Clinical notes are stored securely in our practice management system, Powerdiary.
How long is a standard session?
A standard session time frame is 50 minutes, however extended appointment times (70 minutes) are available.
Do I need a referral to see a Counsellor?
